By the grace of God,
We, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
In our keenness to ensure the prompt execution of Royal Decrees, Orders, and Instructions—particularly those issued concerning projects aimed at advancing the public services of our Kingdom and promoting the welfare of our people;
and out of our desire to supervise and strengthen oversight over the authorities charged with implementing these Royal Decrees, Orders, and Instructions;
and based on the requirements of public interest,
We hereby decree the following:
Article One:
A special department shall be established within our Royal Court under the name: Directorate for Monitoring the Implementation of Royal Decrees, Orders, and Instructions.
Article Two:
This Directorate shall be responsible for overseeing the performance of the authorities charged with implementing the Royal Decrees, Orders, and Instructions issued by us. It shall follow up on their execution and submit periodic reports to us detailing the stages completed.
Article Three:
All authorities charged with implementation shall provide this Directorate with any information, data, or statistics it may request within the scope of its responsibilities.
Article Four:
The functions and powers of this Directorate shall be defined in a separate regulation.
Article Five:
Mr. Abdullah Al‑Abdulaziz Al‑Tuweijri is hereby appointed President of this Directorate, with the rank and salary of department heads within our Royal Court.
Article Six:
This decree shall enter into force as of the date of our signature.
