A gracious Royal Decree establishing the Ministry of Education
and assigning this ministry to His Highness Prince Fahd bin Abdulaziz

We, Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud,
King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
After reliance upon Almighty God, and based on what the public interest requires,
have ordered the following:
First: A special ministry shall be established under the name “Ministry of Education.”
Second: By virtue of this decree, our son Fahd bin Abdulaziz is appointed Minister of Education.
Third: The Minister of Education shall assume all matters related to education in the Kingdom and work to elevate education to a level befitting the country.
