In the lush meadows of al‑Muntazah, King Saud—may God have mercy on him—invited several dignitaries for an afternoon tea gathering. On that occasion, the poet Ahmad Ghazawi remarked: ‘My eyes have never seen a sight as beautiful as this… and its host is among the finest of men.’
This was reported in Umm al‑Qura in the summer of 1361 AH (1942 CE).”
