To the Sons of Our Beloved Nation
Peace and God’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
In the face of the overwhelming warmth with which we were received in every region of our young Kingdom, and before the many expressions of loyalty and devotion shown by our dear people—manifested in the splendid celebrations and magnificent gatherings they held in our honor—we cannot but express our deep satisfaction and appreciation. These celebrations were the people’s way of revealing the profound love and enduring loyalty they hold for His Majesty the revered King, for our person, and for the members of our family.
Before these noble sentiments from our generous people—met on our part with affection and gratitude—we extend to every sincere Saudi our thanks and appreciation for these honorable demonstrations, which testify to the devotion and dedication of this young nation in its love and loyalty to the sovereign upon the throne and to the members of his noble household.
We also extend our sincere thanks to our sister nation, Egypt, through the person of its exalted King Farouk I, for the manifestations of honor and hospitality we received there—expressions we shall never forget throughout our lives. These honors were so great that they nearly caused us to overlook expressing our gratitude to the two great and noble peoples of the United States and Great Britain, for the welcome and hospitality we received from their governments and peoples, and from their leaders and officials. This is something we shall always remember with abundant thanks and complete appreciation.
In conclusion, I ask God to grant this beloved homeland every advancement and success under the reign of His Majesty the revered King—may God preserve him as a pillar of the nation and a treasure for Arabism and Islam.
