King Saud Inspection Tours Inside the Kingdom – 1959

His Majesty the Exalted King’s Inspection Tours Inside the Kingdom During the Year 1959

Objectives of the Royal Tours

Since ascending the throne, His Majesty the King has taken it upon himself to visit the sons of his nation in every part of the Kingdom. He is deeply committed to the welfare of his loyal people, tirelessly working to provide them with comfort and well‑being. He never lets an opportunity pass without inspecting and attending to their affairs, regardless of the effort or fatigue such duties may require.

His Majesty explains the purpose of these inspection tours, saying:

“Since I ascended the throne, I have regarded it as one of my most sacred duties at the beginning of my reign to travel throughout the country—region by region, village by village, and tribe by tribe—to inspect the affairs of my subjects. I wish to hear with my own ears, see with my own eyes, and touch with my own hands their hopes and aspirations, and to learn closely about their needs.”

His Majesty also states:

“I feel that direct contact with the people brings immense benefits, fosters natural harmony between them and their leaders, and strengthens the bonds of love and trust. Moreover, it reinforces reformist ideas and grants them the attention and care they deserve.”

Since the sixth anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne, he has undertaken several inspection journeys, following his established tradition of caring for his people in both cities and deserts. He endured the hardships of travel and the fluctuations of weather, moving between towns and villages, dedicating all his time to addressing the concerns of citizens. This reflects the depth of affection this King holds for his loyal people. Below is a summary of the most significant inspection tours His Majesty conducted during this year:
