King Saud visit to Kuwait 1953

After completing his official visit to Egypt, His Majesty proceeded to visit the sister nation of Kuwait. The visit took place on the twenty‑fourth of Rajab 1373 AH, and the Kuwaiti people received him with the warmest and most magnificent welcome.
King Saud had deep ties with this beloved land. It was in Kuwait that his late father and his grandfather, the Imam, had lived and received honor, hospitality, and respect. It was also in this cherished land that His Majesty himself was born and spent the days of his childhood.
It is therefore no surprise that the expressions of affection and emotion were abundant, for the hearts carried longing, loyalty, and an old bond of friendship renewed by this visit — reviving cherished memories filled with mutual sympathy and care.
His Majesty received from the rulers and leaders of Kuwait every form of appreciation and respect, and from the people sincere demonstrations of loyalty and honor.
He spent a full week in Kuwait, during which he was the object of continuous welcome and celebration. Those days were undoubtedly among the most beautiful and happiest for both His Majesty and the brotherly Kuwaiti people.
