Royal Decree
No. 56 — dated 5 Sha‘ban 1380 AH
We, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
Having reviewed Royal Decree No. 27/4/2/386, dated 6/4/1375 AH;
And having reviewed Council of Ministers Resolution No. 341, dated 2/8/1380 AH;
And upon the submission presented to us by the Prime Minister;
We hereby decree the following:
First:
The establishment of a Supreme Executive Commission, under our chairmanship, to supervise the expansion and construction of the Holy Mosque in Mecca.
Second:
His Highness Prince Talal, Minister of Finance and National Economy, shall serve as Vice‑Chairman.
Third:
Membership shall include:
- Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Ibrahim
- Sheikh Alawi Al‑Maliki
- Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Ahmad bin Ibrahim Al‑Ghazzawi
- Contractor Mohammed bin Laden
- Director General of the Holy Mosque Expansion Project
- Chairman of the Ayn Zubaydah and Aziziyah Authority
Fourth:
The Prime Minister shall implement the provisions of this Royal Decree.
