Strengthening the Saudi Currency

By the grace of God,
We, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,

After reviewing the report submitted by Dr. Ahmed Zaki Saad regarding the strengthening of the Saudi currency,
and based on the submission presented to us by the Minister of Finance and National Economy,
We hereby decree the following:

Article One:
State revenues for the fiscal year 1377 AH are estimated at 1,500 million Saudi riyals, and expenditures are likewise estimated at 1,500 million Saudi riyals.

Article Two:
Fifteen percent of the State’s revenues for this year—estimated at 225 million Saudi riyals—shall be allocated to the repayment of external public debts.

Article Three:
The remaining amount—estimated at 1,275 million Saudi riyals—shall be distributed among all other expenditures, provided that five percent of it (estimated at 75 million Saudi riyals) is allocated to a special reserve to cover unforeseen expenses, and shall not be disbursed except by our order.

Article Four:
The Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance shall implement this decree.
