Radio Makkah has announced the following:
With the help of God Almighty…
We, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
Based on the presentation submitted to us by the Minister of Defense and Aviation regarding his desire to regulate the operations of the Royal Guard in a manner consistent with the responsibilities entrusted to it,
We hereby order the following:
Article One
Our son, Musa‘ad bin Saud, is appointed Commander of the Royal Guard Brigade. He shall be administratively responsible before us. A budget for the said Brigade shall be allocated within its designated chapters in accordance with applicable regulations.
Article Two
The Royal Guard Brigade shall remain affiliated with the Ministry of Defense and Aviation with respect to training, promotions of officers and non‑commissioned officers, and employees, in order to maintain unified procedures with the Army.
Article Three
The President of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Defense and Aviation shall implement this decree as of its date.
