With the help of God Almighty,
We, Saud bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
After reliance upon God,
and based on what has been submitted to us by our son, Talal bin Abdulaziz, regarding his resignation from the Ministry of Communications, and in response to his request, we have accepted his resignation, with our appreciation for the useful work he accomplished in a short period.
And considering that the functions of communications are closely connected with the functions of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, we have ordered the following:
• The functions of the Ministry of Communications shall be merged into the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
• The Minister of Finance and National Economy shall submit to us a project for coordinating the communications functions within the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
• The Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance and National Economy shall implement this decree.
