Royal Decree No. 21/1/126
6 Muharram 1374 AH
With the help of God Almighty
We, Saud bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
After reviewing our Royal Order No. 6515 dated 1 Muharram 1374 AH,
And based on Article Two of the Council of Ministers Law,
And upon the recommendation submitted by the Prime Minister,
We hereby decree the following:
- The Ministry of Economy shall be merged into the Ministry of Finance, forming a single ministry to be known as the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
- This ministry shall assume the responsibilities stipulated in the regulations of the Ministry of Finance, and shall oversee the development of the national economy as well as the administration and improvement of oil and mineral affairs.
- Muhammad Surur Al‑Sabban, Minister of State and Royal Advisor, is hereby appointed Minister of Finance and National Economy.
- The Prime Minister shall implement this decree and communicate it to all concerned parties.
