The Amir Saud Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia accompanied by his entire suite and the Saudi Arabian Minister in London attended the Woking Mosque where following prayers he received an address of welcome from the Muslim Society of Great Britain He afterwards held a reception at which all the Ministers of Muslim States to the Court of Idbal Ahmen Son of the Imam of the Shah Hehan Mosque being presented to the Amir Saud at the Mosque June 30th 1935 The Shah Jahan Mosque was the first purpose built mosque in Europe outside of Muslim Spain

During Crown Prince Saud’s (later King Saud) first visit to Britain in 1935, he visited Croydon Aerodrome, where he spoke with Captain Jonas, the pilot who had flown him to London.
