From an interview with Prince Mohammed bin Saud—may God have mercy on him—about his father, King Saud

Prince Mohammed bin Saud recounted:
“When the mourning period for the passing of King Abdulaziz—may God have mercy on him—ended in Jeddah, we departed by plane to Riyadh. From the airport, we went directly to al‑‘Ud Cemetery to check on the grave of King Abdulaziz. Accompanying my father, King Saud, was Shaykh Ibn Faris, who was responsible for the cemetery at the time.
I remember that my father was carrying a cane resembling a bamboo staff. He drew a line on the ground beside the grave of King Abdulaziz and said to Ibn Faris:
‘This spot is a trust with you.’
Present with my father at that moment was Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh—now King Salman, may God preserve him.
And indeed, when King Saud passed away—may God have mercy on him—and his body arrived from Greece, Prince Salman said to me:
‘Look, Mohammed… we buried King Saud in the place he reserved for himself beside his father.’
King Saud was laid to rest next to his father, King Abdulaziz, and beside them rests King Abdulaziz’s sister, Noura, and near them their father, Imam Abdulrahman Al‑Faisal—may God have mercy on them all.”
