King Saud orders the revival of the Sunnah of the “first call to prayer” before Fajr in all mosques of the Kingdom.
In the latter part of the month of Muharram in the year 1375 AH, King Saud bin Abdulaziz performed the Maghrib prayer in the Grand Mosque in Makkah. After the prayer, a group of scholars gathered around him and informed the King that the first adhān (given before the Fajr adhān) was no longer being practiced in the mosques, and they explained to him that it is a Sunnah. The King immediately ordered that this Sunnah be revived in all the mosques of the Kingdom. May God bless his soul.
