His Royal Highness Crown Prince Saud, has opened the session of the Shura Council in 1367 on behalf of his Majesty The King, and his highness gave this speech which is a great for the morals and the good for the country:
Respected members of the Shura Council :
I greet you all and congratulate you for the confidence of his Majesty The King. That confidence that you have earned, and it has been granted to you year after year looking at the results of your work and your competence. It was your agenda, which you had presented to His Majesty the King last year, with much to finish and function that helped the state regulation and the people's comfort.
We all welcome the new year, and ask God to make it a good year for all the world, and specially to our country.
I would like to explain to you something of the program infront of the government and you all in all matters of urbanism, knowledge , pilgrimage, health and defense affairs, it was prepared for each branch of these branches a special program and budget which will impose them on you within the jurisdiction of your Council for consideration and approval.
Here is Jeddah water project finished, and there is a project to create a port in Jeddah, as well as water project in Mecca i.e. Pipes to save water in a clean and non-staining, and there are projects to open new roads for cars from Arafat to Mecca.
The government also care to raise the standard of living of the population and lowering livelihoods rates and making it available to all, and is exerting every effort to make life for citizens comfortable as well, the knowledge management is on track which is expanding its budget exponentially year after year. As well as the Department of Defense which is run by the brother HH Mansour proceeding steadily in the preparation of the country's military force in a way that pleases every sincere citizen to his country, and that makes every Arab proud.
As our foreign policy is based on good relations with other States, and we share respect with all.
The Arab League, which was founded and grew up through the unity of Arab countries will lead the Arab nations to its goals and purposes, God willing.
In conclusion, I ask God to guide our steps and guide you to the good, and help us all serve this dear homeland under the leadership of His Majesty The King , which we ask God to prolong survival and protect him an asset to the Arabs and Muslims.
