King Abdulaziz's confidence did not stop at appointing his son, at the wish of the people, as a Crown Prince, but also ''The Supreme Leadership of all Saudi Arabian forces in recognition of demonstrated prowess in leadership of battles and wisdom in guiding things. And that was by a royal decree issued by His Majesty the late King Abdulaziz on August 27 in 1953 which reads as follows: -

"We Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman al-Faisal of Saudi Arabia, after relying on God Almighty and due to the requirement of interest, it has been appointed to the Son 'Saud', the Crown Prince of our kingdom generic top-level leadership. And thus the rest of the armed forces in the kingdom, the defense forces and the guard and security the public and the people of jihad and the mujahideen, all of these forces belonging to him, going under his orders and instructions and not for any of these forces do any warship movements except in accordance with orders and instructions issued by Crown Prince Saud and I ask God for success to him.''
