Al-Madinah Newspaper – Islamic Caliphate

The Islamic Caliphate Awaits the True VisionWhen the bond of the Islamic Caliphate was broken, the unity of Muslims collapsed, their ranks dispersed, their strength diminished, and the hands of colonial powers played with their fate. Wolves preyed upon them, and to this day they remain without a bond to unite them or an institution to gather them under one banner.

Today, however, Islamic consciousness has begun to awaken. Muslims have started to reflect on their affairs and their destiny, and every Muslim nation is striving to liberate itself from foreign domination.

Muslims everywhere have realized that they must have a general leadership—one that unifies their struggle, their goals, their strength, and their culture; a leadership that transforms them into a single cohesive force capable of influencing the balance of global politics and international affairs.

Such leadership cannot achieve its true meaning except through the Islamic Caliphate, in which a Caliph of the Muslims assumes its helm, oversees the conditions of Muslims across the globe, works to improve their circumstances, elevate their status, benefit from their talents, and harness their strength. He would unite them upon one table: the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger. He would revive them with a renewal free of atheism, tyranny, weakness, humiliation, fear, or cowardice—a revival that restores the early example of the Muslims, protects them from aggression, and shields them from the evils of guardianship, mandates, and colonialism.

A revival that strengthens the Caliphate, and through which the Caliphate strengthens its people.

A revival that blends Muslims—despite the distances between them—into a unified cultural, economic, moral, and military entity whose bonds cannot be broken.

So who is the man upon whom the eyes of Muslims in the East and West are fixed? Who is the one awaited by the Islamic Caliphate to fulfill the aspirations of Islam and the Muslims?

Muslims outside Saudi Arabia have sensed the necessity of having a Caliph, and they have nominated His Majesty King Saud—may God exalt him—for this great position. Saudi newspapers echoed what foreign newspapers had published.

They nominated him because he is the protector, servant, and guardian of the Two Holy Mosques.

They nominated him because he is a king who obeys his Lord, stands before Him in prayer during the depths of night, upholds the rituals of religion, rules by what God has revealed, fears Him, spreads monotheism, and establishes justice.

They nominated him because he is a king who cares for the affairs of Muslims everywhere, works to assist them, supports them, and hastens to their aid.

They nominated him because his country is governed by Islamic law, and he is not swayed by blame in upholding the truth and the rulings of Islam.

This nomination appeared in newspapers and was repeated by some radio stations. Then came a new spiritual nomination.

This new spiritual nomination was:

A true vision seen in Mecca, in Hama (Syria), and in Al‑Ahsa in eastern Arabia—visions carrying a message from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Saud, urging him to prevent harm and foul odors from reaching the Prophet’s Chamber and the Sacred Mosque in Madinah. His Majesty received the message, responded immediately, and ordered the removal of buildings near the Prophet’s Chamber. The estimated compensation for these properties amounted to 2,456,000 Saudi riyals, not including the costs of demolition, road improvement, and reconstruction. It is believed that the project had already begun when this number was announced.

A blessed coincidence willed by God: the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth and the anniversary of King Saud’s accession to the throne occurred in the same week.

This Islamic nomination published in the newspapers, and this spiritual nomination witnessed in recent days, are matters that naturally draw the attention of Muslims and invite them to reflect upon the man of the hour—His Majesty King Saud.

And Al‑Madinah newspaper supports both nominations and declares, with conviction and faith, that His Majesty King Saud is worthy of this great Islamic office.
