My beloved people,
I depart from this sacred homeland after having lived among you for this brief period—days that were among the dearest to my heart. During this time, my knowledge of you deepened, and my affection for you grew, for I witnessed your sincerity, your love for your country and your King, and the admirable spirit of cooperation between you and your government.
Words fall short of expressing my gratitude for the noble sentiments and loyal devotion you have shown. It has been a source of pride for me—and indeed for the entire nation—to witness your enthusiasm, your courage, your strength, and the readiness you displayed regarding the cause of Palestine. This great spirit will, by God’s grace, and through your efforts and the solidarity of the Arab and Islamic nations, bring about the victory we all hope for that dear homeland.
I leave this sacred land for the other part of our beloved country, yet distance will not separate us. We remain in constant connection with you, working tirelessly for the good of the nation and all its sons. I ask God to grant us and you success in all that He loves and is pleased with, and to elevate the standing of this homeland under the reign of His Majesty the Great King, whose life we pray God will prolong and whose rule He will support with victory from Him.
