It has been a source of great satisfaction and joy for us to visit this part of our Kingdom—along the coasts of Tihama and ‘Asir—meeting its people and reviewing their affairs. We visited Al‑Lith, then Al‑Qunfudhah, Al‑Birk, Al‑Qahmah, and then arrived in Jizan. We visited Abha, Sabya, Abu Arish, and Al‑Samtah, and toured their vast agricultural areas.
We were deeply pleased by the manifestations of loyalty and affection, the expressions of joy and respect, and the warm hospitality shown by the people of every place we visited. This has earned them our sincere gratitude.
As we depart today, we carry with us the finest memories, the noblest impressions, and a firm resolve to undertake all measures that will facilitate the development of these agricultural regions, enable the extraction of their resources, raise the standard of living for all their inhabitants, increase prosperity, and help them attain the position they rightfully deserve.
We ask the Almighty to grant us His help and success. He is the All‑Hearing, the All‑Responsive.
