Islam came and raised us from abasement and humiliation to the loftiest of ranks; we became the most secure of peoples, their leaders, and their guides calling to God. The unity of the Muslims’ word, the consolidation of their ranks, and the mending of their divisions constitute the greatest duty upon every Muslim to strive to achieve. I therefore call upon all Muslims to rally upon the truth, to unite their word, and to stand together as a solid, fortified structure.
