A poem by Majid bin Rabeean after King’s departure for treatment

A poem recited by Sheikh Majid bin Omar Rabeean on the occasion of King Saud’s departure for medical treatment.

He who chants upon the mountain peaks,
has tasted the sweetness of joy and delight in his life.

Praise be to the One who replaced hardship with ease,
for You, O God, are the remover of all distress.

From You, the sovereign—shade over his people—received healing,
and the nation, in its love, longed for its king.

They await his return as one awaits the coming clouds,
like blessed rain that revives the harshest seasons.

May no eye shed tears on the day he departed,
from Arar Airport, traveling for treatment abroad.

Had we been consulted, we would have offered our souls and sons,
and even then, we would feel it too little for his worth.

God is greatest—whenever Saud appears,
my eyes fight their sorrow, though tears rise and burn.

Rejoice, O people—his health is sound,
as the radio announced, specifying the time of his return.

God is witness, and so are His creation, to the truth of my words,
for nothing I have spoken carries falsehood.

Our pledge to him stands firm, unchanging,
and we will never betray him—by the One who knows all hearts.

I seal my words with blessings upon the Hashemite who dispelled darkness,
as countless as the hours, nights, and months of time.
