From the archives of the American University of Beirut, dated 11 April 1953, documenting the visit of Crown Prince Saud (later King Saud) to Lebanon:
‘His Royal Highness and his father, King Abdulaziz—may God have mercy on them both—donated 33,000 dollars to support the education of Palestinian refugee students at the American University.
