Royal Decree Enacting the Civil Retirement Law

“We, Saud bin Abdulaziz Al‑Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
After reviewing Articles Nineteen and Twenty of the Council of Ministers Law issued by Our Royal Decree No. 38 dated 22/10/1377,
and based on the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 78 dated 14/2/1381,
and based on what has been presented to Us by the Prime Minister,
We hereby decree the following:
First: We approve the Civil Retirement Law in the form attached hereto.
Second: The Prime Minister shall implement this Royal Decree, and the Law shall take effect beginning from the first day of the month following the issuance of this Decree, except for Article (25) of this Law, which shall take effect from the date of the establishment of the Council of Ministers in the year 1373, provided that the conditions stated in Article One are observed.
Third: All other laws and special decisions inconsistent with this Law are hereby repealed.
Fourth: The Prime Minister shall enforce Our Order.
