By the grace of God,
We, Saud bin Abdulaziz,
King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
After reliance upon God,
and in view of the requirements of public interest,
and based on what has been submitted to us by the Head of the Political Bureau at our Royal Court,
We hereby order the following:
Article One
The administration of the Political Bureau shall be organized in accordance with the regulations in force at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Employees of the Political Bureau shall be subject to the same rules governing promotions and advancements applicable to employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Article Two
The Head of the Political Bureau shall exercise—after obtaining our permission—the authorities granted under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Law, in accordance with the regulations and instructions referred to in Article One.
Article Three
Current employees of the Political Bureau shall be classified and their status regularized by a decision issued by the Head of the Political Bureau, taking into account seniority and competence.
Article Four
The Political Bureau shall consist of two divisions:
a. Political and Legal Division:
No one shall be appointed to this division—after classifying current employees—except those possessing the required qualifications and competencies.
b. Administrative Division:
Responsible for organizing documents, maintaining records, and performing typewriting duties.
Article Five
The Head of the Political Bureau at our Royal Court shall be considered a member of the Council of Ministers.
Article Six
This decree shall be communicated to all concerned authorities for implementation.
