In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Number: 21/5/28/1489
Dated: 30 Sha‘ban 1374 A.H.
From Saud bin Abdulaziz
To the sons and heirs of those who fought in the path of God under the banner of monotheism alongside our late father—may God have mercy on him—and with us, may God protect them:
Peace be upon you.
In appreciation of the early mujahideen who were killed in the path of God for the establishment of this State and the spread of the banner of monotheism, and because it is our duty to support those they left behind in this worldly life in a manner that preserves their rights,
We hereby order the following:
1.
A designated allocation shall be granted from the Public Treasury to the sons and heirs of those who fought in the path of God and were martyred under our banner—the banner of monotheism—each according to his entitlement.
2.
Our governors and judges throughout the Kingdom shall open a register to record those covered by this decree, after verifying their identities and confirming their relation to the martyrs, and shall submit these records to us.
3.
A committee shall be formed in each locality, chaired by the local governor and judge, along with two notable men of the town. Their decisions shall be forwarded to the committee to be formed in our capital, Riyadh.
4.
A committee shall be formed in Riyadh, in accordance with the previous paragraph, chaired by the Governor of Riyadh, to review the submitted cases and determine the appropriate allocations for each entitled person.
5.
Our Ministry of Finance shall record and approve the allocations determined for the beneficiaries in the Public Treasury.
Peace.
