Sheikh Hamad bin Ibrahim Al‑Mish‘al

He enrolled in one of the scientific institutes in Riyadh in 1371 AH, eventually earning a degree from the College of Sharia Sciences at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University. He then began teaching at the Ministry of Education at that time, in addition to being appointed as an imam for His Majesty King Saud, may God have mercy on him, a position he held for many years and during the King’s domestic travels.

He was chosen for his beautiful and moving recitation, which was pleasing to the ear, as well as for the guidance and reminders he offered to the mosque congregation. King Saud particularly enjoyed listening to the Qur’an recited in the tender, melodious voice of Sheikh Hamad.

He remained the King’s imam until the passing of King Saud — may God have mercy on him. Afterward, he continued serving as imam in several mosques. He passed away on Tuesday, 14‑4‑1436 AH / 2015
