Charitable institution for Palestinian refugees children in Lebanon

His Majesty Donates Ten Thousand Pounds to a Charitable Foundation Bearing His Name for the Education of Refugee Children

Al‑Nadwah newspaper, in its issue dated 16‑2‑1380 AH, published the following report under this headline:

Last week, His Majesty the King received Mr. Muhammad Fustuq, Chairman of the King Saud Charitable Foundation in Beirut, which operates two schools for Palestinian refugee orphans and provides shelter for more than three hundred boys and girls.

Due to the financial crisis currently facing the institution—caused by the suspension of some of the aid it used to receive—the foundation was on the verge of decline, collapse, and an inability to continue fulfilling its humanitarian mission. When His Majesty learned of this situation, his well‑known generosity—both within the Kingdom and beyond—moved him, and out of his customary benevolence and his desire to strengthen the morale of the steadfast people of Palestine living along its borders, His Majesty donated from his personal funds the sum of ten thousand pounds sterling to cover the deficit and revive the institution so that it may continue its humanitarian work. The amount was delivered to the chairman, and this assistance will be provided annually.

May God reward this noble king with the best of rewards for his humanitarian deeds.
