King Saud’s inaugurates Al‑Malki Azhari School in Nasr al‑Nuba

In 1967, the late King Saud founded the Al‑Malki Azhari School in Nasr al‑Nuba, located 60 kilometers south of Aswan, insisting that the school should not bear his name. The school was led for many years by Sheikh Jamal Hussein Ahmed.
During his visit to Aswan with President Gamal Abdel Nasser, King Saud chose to travel alone to Nuba, where he inaugurated the school. Over the decades, it has produced hundreds of preachers, engineers, physicians, teachers, and mosque imams
