On the 15 of May 1955 #king_Saud presented an official complaint to the Government of the United States of America to remove the Statue of the #Prophet_Muhamed (pbuh) , from the Courthouse building in New York City , which was placed in 1901 by President Thomas Jefferson, With other nine statues . Islam strongly forbids the depictions of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) . The hadiths of the Prophet (pbuh), explicitly prohibit Muslims from creating visual depictions of figures. The statue was eventually removed,
with a great pressure from Muslim Countries( #Indonesia, #Pakistan , and #Egypt , and personal interference of #King_Saud , the second King of #SaudiArabia in 1955.
