His Visit To Pakistan
King Saud paid an official visit to Pakistan, where he was received at the Karachi Airport by the Governor‑General, Malik Ghulam Muhammad, and the Prime Minister, Mohammad Ali Bogra, in 1954, corresponding to 17 Sha‘ban 1373 AH. During the visit, he toured Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, and was presented with the Key to the City of Karachi.
King Saud led the prayer for 150,000 worshippers in Pakistan during his ten‑day visit in April 1954. During this visit, he laid the foundation stone for the housing project dedicated to Pakistani migrants, which he had donated. The city established through this project was named in his honor: Saudabad.
