Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser, the Egyptian Vice President, headed Egypt’s delegation to offer condolences on the passing of King Abdulaziz—who died on 9 November 1953—and was received by King Saud at the Ma‘abidah Palace in Makkah. Afterward, he performed the rites of ʿUmrah on 11 November 1953. May God have mercy on them.
