Extensive Tours across the Kingdom

His Majesty inaugurated his blessed reign with wide‑ranging journeys across the Kingdom, during which he inspected its cities and villages, examined the necessary reform projects, ordered the fulfillment of the people’s needs, and listened attentively to the wishes of the inhabitants. The first stage of these visits was to the Eastern Province, the region of the oil fields. He also inspected the major agricultural estates in the Al‑Kharj region and the military factories located there. His Majesty then visited the cities of Al‑Ahsa before heading northward, where he visited Hail, Buraydah, Unaizah, Al‑Qassim, Al‑Washm, Al‑Ghat, Al‑Majma‘ah, Al‑Dir‘iyyah, Manfouhah, Murayhila, and other towns.

He then traveled to the southern regions of the Kingdom, visiting ‘Asir, Najran, Bisha, and Turbah, followed by an inspection of the southern coastal areas, including Al‑Lith, Al‑Qunfudhah, and other cities. His Majesty also undertook a second journey to the Hijaz in Shawwal of the year 1374 AH, during which he visited Ghamid, Zahran, and other villages of the Hijaz, inspecting their conditions and affairs.

These journeys yielded remarkable results, leading to the establishment of urban development projects and the execution of major undertakings whose positive effects soon became evident.
